Juneteenth falls on Wednesday, June 19th and is a recognized federal holiday to acknowledge when the enslaved in Texas found out about the Emancipation Proclamation and their freedom from chattel slavery. Even though it is one of my favorite holidays I’ll be in the office from 10am-6pm.
